Before 1980 Drinking Water in the United States was determined “Safe” when EPA – mandated water tests resulted in levels at or below the Maximum Contaminant Levels proscribed at that time. Because studies from 2012, – 2016 show that parts per trillion of toxic compounds are enough to initiate disease at the cellular level it has been difficult to define “safe levels”. Coupled with the unwillingness of the United States Congress to vote in changes suggested by EPA studies since 1995, the literature has turned to “Acceptable Risk” as a means of quantifying morbidity (illness from water toxins) and mortality
THE STRAIGHT SCOOP ************************* The Company is glad to announce its first Intellectual Property Patent through WIPO, Geneva. The Quad 3-Stage Sub-1 Micron Fast-Flo Point of Entry Potable Water Treatment System offers a revolutionary way to remove heavy metals from potable water supplies entering a building. The fast-flow design allows whole-home applications thereby reducing hard-to-remove metals such as Pb, As, Hg, Cd, Cr from showers and all taps within the building. Complete story and videos to follow. Please stay tuned to TSWS, Inc. Plans include installation of this unit in restaurants and buildings where daily water demand can exceed 5000
“Water, water, every where, And all the boards did shrink; Water, water, every where, Nor any drop to drink.” Well,… not everywhere. Let’s look at some symptoms of a growing problem with diminishing supplies of potable, medically safe water both here in the USA, and virtually everywhere else around the globe. Let’s take inventory. Almost 25% of the planet, some 2.7 billion children, women, men will fight over what little water they can find, never mind that it may be entirely non-potable and unfit to drink even if available. Estimates are this will be occurring well before 2028.
ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP in a time of VANISHING WATER “Climate change” is changing our assumptions about water resources. As climate change warms the atmosphere and alters the hydrological cycle, we will continue to witness changes to the amount, timing, form, and intensity of precipitation and the flow of water in watersheds, as well as the quality of aquatic and marine environments. These changes are also likely to affect the programs designed to protect the quality of water resources and public health and safety.” Ironically, there is nothing new here. This observation made by EPA authors for the Climate Change Adaptation Implementation Plan
In June 2015, Pope Francis put it this way: “Even as the quality of available water is constantly diminishing, in some places there is a growing tendency, despite its scarcity, to privatize this resource, turning it into a commodity subject to the laws of the market. Yet access to safe drinkable water is a basic and universal human right, since it is essential to human survival and, as such, is a condition for the exercise of other human rights. Our world has a grave social debt towards the poor who lack access to drinking water, because they are denied the
Al Gore invented the Internet. In fact, as the chairman of a key science subcommittee in 1986, Gore did foster the creation of five supercomputer centers through the National Science Foundation that became the cornerstone of the Internet.” Most media outlets downplayed or omitted Gore’s role as a Senator in supporting national networking initiatives, instead concentrating on his apparent gaffe in an interview. The former Vice President said in his interview with Wolf Blitzer, 1999, in response to a question about his vision for the upcoming presidential election: “But it (his vision) will emerge from my dialogue with the American people. I’ve
WHAT YOU CAN DO The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions Speak out. Understand that the analogy of “Tobacco use is a leading cause of cancer and of death from cancer…”- a quote from the National Cancer Institute, applies here. Water, like Cigarette Smoke won’t kill you tomorrow. But the long term affects of both are incontrovertible. All environmental factors are contributing to America’s cancer statistics: 1 in 4 and 1 in 3 women and men in the country respectively. If you are a man, look to your left and to your right the next time you are

There is “flat” water and “delicious water”. There is also “healthy” water” and “less healthy” water, having nothing to do with any contaminants, byproducts of chlorine disinfection or any of that. Let’s look at these one at a time. WHAT IS pH and HOW DOES WATER pH AFFECT HUMAN HEALTH ? WATER and pH Water needs no definition but what is pH? pH , the “power of Hydrogen”, can be described by using the H2O water molecule itself. Think of the water molecule, H2O as HOH. Both H2O and HOH have two atoms of hydrogen and one oxygen atom.
